CTH (Ferrero-related Company) Acquires Burton's Biscuit Company from Ontario Teachers'

A Ferrero-related Belgian holding company (CTH) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Burton's Biscuit Company from the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board. Burton's—headquartered in St Albans with six UK manufacturing sites and about 2,000 employees—generated over £275 million of sales in the last 12 months; the buyer expects to enlarge its sweet biscuits offering by adding Burton's brands and production capacity.
