TruckPro, headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, is a leading distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts with more than 150 locations across the United States and Canada; Platinum Equity said it will pursue organic growth and potential acquisitions to expand the business.

Platinum Equity Affiliate Acquires Wesco Aircraft and Combines It with Pattonair

An affiliate of Platinum Equity completed the acquisition of Wesco Aircraft Holdings Inc. for approximately $1.9 billion and immediately combined Wesco with Platinum Equity portfolio company Pattonair. The combination creates a roughly $2.4 billion, global aerospace supply-chain and distribution business headquartered in Valencia, California, with operations across 17 countries and more than 4,000 employees to expand scale, product breadth and supply‑chain capabilities.

Latécoère Acquires Avcorp Industries Inc.

Latécoère has agreed to acquire all outstanding common shares of Avcorp Industries Inc. for approximately CAD$41 million, strengthening its Aerostructures business by adding wing sub-assemblies, large-scale composite capabilities and North American manufacturing footprint. The acquisition increases Latécoère's exposure to North American defence and commercial aircraft platforms (including the B737 Max and F-35) and is expected to close in 2022 subject to customary approvals.

Platinum Equity Acquires Majority Interest in Kohler Energy from Kohler Co.

Platinum Equity has closed the transaction to acquire a majority interest in Kohler Energy from Kohler Co., establishing Kohler Energy as an independent, standalone business. Kohler Co. remains an investment partner, Brian Melka will serve as CEO and David Kohler will sit on the board; financial terms were not disclosed. Platinum Equity said it will invest in growth and operational initiatives to accelerate Kohler Energy's position in the global energy resilience market.

Platinum Equity Acquires McGraw Hill for $4.5 Billion

Platinum Equity completed the acquisition of McGraw Hill from funds managed by Apollo Global Management for approximately $4.5 billion. McGraw Hill, a 130+ year global education company headquartered in New York, generates the majority of its revenue from digital products and will continue to be led by CEO Simon Allen under Platinum's ownership as the firm invests to accelerate digital growth and pursue strategic expansion.
