Latécoère Acquires Avcorp Industries Inc.

Latécoère has agreed to acquire all outstanding common shares of Avcorp Industries Inc. for approximately CAD$41 million, strengthening its Aerostructures business by adding wing sub-assemblies, large-scale composite capabilities and North American manufacturing footprint. The acquisition increases Latécoère's exposure to North American defence and commercial aircraft platforms (including the B737 Max and F-35) and is expected to close in 2022 subject to customary approvals.

Spanish private equity firm ProA Capital has agreed to acquire roughly 70% of Avioparts, a distributor of aircraft components, lubricants and logistics solutions, in a deal that values the company at about €40 million. The transaction is structured as a share purchase plus a capital increase to support Avioparts’ organic and inorganic growth; founder David Fojon will remain CEO and a minority shareholder.

(NASDAQ: AVAV) will acquire Arcturus UAV, Inc., a Petaluma, California–based developer and manufacturer of Group 2 and 3 unmanned aircraft systems, for a total purchase price of $405 million (approximately $355 million cash and $50 million in AeroVironment stock). The acquisition expands AeroVironment's product portfolio into higher-value Group 2 and 3 UAS segments, adds Arcturus’s ~270 employees and COCO services capability, and is expected to be accretive to adjusted EBITDA and GAAP EPS in fiscal 2022.

Toromont Industries Acquires 60% Stake in AVL Manufacturing Inc.

Toromont Industries Ltd. has acquired a 60% ownership stake in AVL Manufacturing Inc., a Hamilton, Ontario-based designer and fabricator of power generation and energy storage enclosures that serves the data centre market across eastern North America. The purchase was paid in cash and Toromont shares, and Toromont has committed to buying the remaining 40% by agreed dates through 2031 based on performance; the acquisition secures supply for Toromont Power Systems and is not expected to have a material near-term impact on combined results.
