SoftBank Acquires 40% Stake in AutoStore

SoftBank Group Corp. agreed to acquire a 40% stake in AutoStore from funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners and EQT, among other shareholders, in a transaction announced April 2021. The investment (reported at about $2.8 billion) aims to accelerate AutoStore's global expansion across geographies and end markets, particularly in Asia-Pacific, while THL remains the majority shareholder.
