HARMAN, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, has acquired Roon, the music management, discovery and streaming platform for music enthusiasts. Roon will operate as a standalone HARMAN business, retaining its existing team and continuing to grow its open device ecosystem while leveraging HARMAN's scale and engineering resources to expand product capabilities and reach.

RWS Global Acquires Great Big Events

RWS Global has acquired Great Big Events (GBE) and launched a new division, RWS Global Sports, to expand its live sports and entertainment production capabilities. GBE co-founder Kim Henshaw will lead the new division, and the deal includes GBE's fan engagement apps (Ultimate Fan App, Anywhere Live) and integrated software PV4; the transaction follows a strategic investment in RWS Global from Bluestone Equity Partners.

The acquisition adds UGC (ratings, reviews, Q&A, images, video) and analytics capabilities to 1WorldSync's suite to help brands and retailers boost e-commerce conversions; terms were not disclosed.

Epic Games Acquires Harmonix
