Dallas-based private equity firm Latticework Capital Management formed American Clinical Research Services Holdings (ACRS) and, through the new platform, acquired Montclair, California–based Catalina Research Institute, LLC (CRI). The deal establishes an SMO platform focused on complex clinical trials and patient diversity to scale site operations, improve trial efficiencies and expand CRI's reach; financial terms were not disclosed.

American Clinical Research Services Acquires Elixia

American Clinical Research Services (ACRS), a clinical research platform formed by Latticework Capital Management, has acquired Elixia, a multi-specialty clinical research site network operating in Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan and Missouri. The acquisition expands ACRS's footprint and capabilities in complex therapeutic areas—notably nephrology, neuroscience and infectious diseases—and adds Elixia's 40-bed Phase I unit in Tampa to ACRS's national site network.
