Saothair Capital Partners has completed the acquisition of GatesAir, Inc. through a newly-formed affiliate. GatesAir, a 100+ year designer, manufacturer and installer of over-the-air broadcast and public safety communications equipment headquartered in Mason, Ohio, will continue to be led by President and CEO Barbara Spicek as Saothair invests to scale the business, broaden geographic presence, and expand its turnkey product and services portfolio.

Daikin Applied Acquires Alliance Air Products

Amca Acquires Aerospace Control Products, Inc.

Amca, an El Segundo, California-based aerospace and defense company, has acquired Aerospace Control Products, Inc. (ACPI) of Davenport, Iowa to expand its hydraulics-focused components platform by adding aerospace-grade pressure and liquid-level switch capabilities. Amca plans significant investment to expand ACPI’s manufacturing capacity and improve supply availability; Shedd Capital advised on the transaction and Aaron Ellis, ACPI’s president and former owner, will remain involved.

Saothair Capital Partners Acquires Majority Stake in T BAILEY

Saothair Capital Partners has acquired a majority equity stake in T BAILEY, LLC, a vertically integrated manufacturer of above-ground industrial tanks, pressure vessels, marine pontoons and other large custom steel solutions based in Anacortes, Washington. Founder and CEO Gene Tanaka will remain in a meaningful ownership position and continue to lead the business; financing was provided by Polen Capital and legal/financial advisors included McGuireWoods, Holland & Hart and TM Capital.

Motion & Control Enterprises (MCE), a Frontenac-backed industrial automation platform, has acquired Air Automation Engineering (AAE), a Fridley, Minnesota-based distributor and service provider of automation products and tooling. The add-on expands MCE’s automation capabilities, product offerings and served geographies across the Upper Midwest while AAE will continue to operate under its existing leadership.

CAI Capital Partners Invests in ATS Services Ltd.

CAI Capital Partners has closed an investment in ATS Services Ltd., a Canada-based provider of aviation communication services, meteorological observations, training, and equipment distribution. The transaction — CAI's fourth platform investment from its sixth fund — will support ATS' continued growth across its 65 Canadian sites and was debt-financed by The Bank of Nova Scotia.
