White Deer Energy has acquired a majority interest in Unicat Catalyst Technologies, a global supplier of heterogeneous catalyst products and related technical services. Financial terms were not disclosed; Unicat founder and CEO Mani Erfan will remain in place and roll a portion of his ownership as White Deer backs the company's continued growth in refinery, syngas, chemical, steel, agriculture and green energy markets.

Technip Energies has completed the acquisition of Ecovyst’s Advanced Materials & Catalysts (AM&C) segment in a transaction reported around $556 million, bringing approximately 330 AM&C employees into Technip. Ecovyst expects net proceeds of about $530 million (using $465 million to pay down term debt), while Technip said the deal expands its catalysts and advanced materials capabilities to support sustainable fuels, circular chemistry and carbon-capture applications.
