BERKS Group announced an investment in Instrument Development Corporation (IDC), an ultra-precision machining company based in Mukwonago, Wisconsin that manufactures complex parts for aerospace and defense customers. The investment will fund capital expenditures to expand IDC’s capabilities and production, integrate capabilities with BERKS’ precision manufacturing platform (including Swiss‑Tech, LLC), and Hank Bradley will join IDC as chairman of the board.

Machine Solutions Inc. Acquires BW-TEC AG

Machine Solutions Inc. has acquired all outstanding stock of Switzerland-headquartered BW-TEC AG, a designer and manufacturer of catheter-forming, laser-welding, necking, testing and coating equipment for the medical device industry. The deal expands Machine Solutions' product offering and geographic service capabilities by adding BW-TEC's European engineering and manufacturing resources to Machine Solutions' global sales and service network.

Compass Precision Acquires Bergeron Machine

Compass Precision, a portfolio company of Main Street Capital Holdings, acquired Bergeron Machine, Inc., a Westford, Massachusetts-based precision Swiss-style machine shop. Bergeron, founded in 1948, operates a 14,700 sq ft facility with about 25 employees and ~30 CNC machines servicing semiconductor, aerospace, and defense customers; the acquisition is an add-on to expand Compass's manufacturing capabilities and geographic presence.

Andra Tech Group (backed by Castik Capital) Acquires Innotec Zerspanungstechnik GmbH

Andra Tech Group has acquired 100% of Innotec Zerspanungstechnik GmbH, a precision-machining manufacturer based in Sinsheim, Germany; financial terms were not disclosed and managing directors Jörg and Björn Leichenich will remain in place. Innotec’s ~75 employees serve medical, optics, high-tech systems and semiconductor customers; the acquisition expands Andra Tech Group’s German footprint and capabilities and is supported by funds managed by Castik Capital, which acquired a majority stake in Andra Tech Group in September 2024.
