BERKS Group Acquires Swiss‑Tech, LLC

BERKS Group, a division of the News‑Press & Gazette Company, completed the acquisition of Swiss‑Tech, LLC. Swiss‑Tech — a precision CNC Swiss machining and contract manufacturer serving medical, aerospace and industrial end markets — will serve as a platform investment and its management team will remain in place as BERKS plans capital investments to support growth.

BERKS Group announced an investment in Instrument Development Corporation (IDC), an ultra-precision machining company based in Mukwonago, Wisconsin that manufactures complex parts for aerospace and defense customers. The investment will fund capital expenditures to expand IDC’s capabilities and production, integrate capabilities with BERKS’ precision manufacturing platform (including Swiss‑Tech, LLC), and Hank Bradley will join IDC as chairman of the board.

BERKS Group Acquires 180 Skills

The acquisition expands BERKS' education technology platform—joining 180 Skills with existing assets such as Valor Manufacturing Training—to broaden its online training offerings for manufacturers, educators and workforce organizations.

Enjet Aero Acquires Birken Manufacturing

Enjet Aero, a Kansas City-based engine component manufacturer, has acquired Birken Manufacturing of Bloomfield, Connecticut, expanding Enjet's machining, sheet metal and testing capabilities for aeroengine customers. Birken's leadership will remain in place and the facility will be renamed Enjet Aero Bloomfield to integrate into Enjet's network and add capacity for OEM engine programs.

Nichols Portland, Inc. Acquires Neota Product Solutions LLC

Nichols Portland, Inc., a portfolio company of Altus Capital Partners, has acquired the assets of Neota Product Solutions LLC to expand its metal injection molding (MIM) capabilities. The acquisition is an add-on to Nichols’ existing MIM and powdered-metal manufacturing platform; financial terms were not disclosed.

Bromford Industries (Liberty Hall) Acquires Numet Machining Techniques

Bromford Industries, a portfolio company of Liberty Hall Capital Partners, acquired Numet Machining Techniques, a precision aerospace engine component manufacturer based in Orange, Connecticut. The add-on deal — financed in part by Citizens Bank and second-lien financing plus an equity co-investment from Stellus Capital Management — expands Bromford's machining capabilities and platform exposure across key engine platforms and major OEM customers.
