Enjet Aero Acquires Birken Manufacturing

Enjet Aero, a Kansas City-based engine component manufacturer, has acquired Birken Manufacturing of Bloomfield, Connecticut, expanding Enjet's machining, sheet metal and testing capabilities for aeroengine customers. Birken's leadership will remain in place and the facility will be renamed Enjet Aero Bloomfield to integrate into Enjet's network and add capacity for OEM engine programs.

Cadence Aerospace, a portfolio company of Arlington Capital Partners, has acquired the OEM Manufacturing Division of B&E Group, adding two Massachusetts facilities (Southwick and Westfield) that specialize in complex, difficult-to-machine engine components for aerospace and defense customers. The deal expands Cadence's engine-component capabilities and creates scale across its Tell Tool and ADM operations as an add-on to the Cadence platform.

Hartzell Engine Tech Acquires Kelly Aero LLC

Hartzell Engine Tech has acquired Kelly Aero LLC, an aftermarket maker of aircraft magnetos, replacement parts, and ignition harnesses, adding roughly 40 employees and manufacturing capacity in Montgomery, Alabama. Hartzell will evaluate the products in 2024, pursue PMA approval, and plans to rebrand the line as PowerUp Ignition Systems while integrating production into its Montgomery facility and service work at sister company Quality Aircraft Accessories.
