IMAX Corporation to Acquire Remaining Shares of IMAX China

IMAX Corporation filed a proposal to acquire the outstanding 96.3 million shares of IMAX China Holding, Inc. for approximately HK$10 per share (about $124 million), giving IMAX Corp. 100% ownership of its Greater China subsidiary. The deal is intended to provide greater operational flexibility to pursue growth opportunities in China, be immediately accretive to IMAX's financials, and potentially deliver annual cost and tax efficiencies.
