Bora Pharmaceuticals completed a 2024 acquisition of Upsher-Smith Laboratories for $210 million and is expanding the Maple Grove, Minnesota manufacturing site with a multi-year buildout. The investment includes installation of a Gerteis Macro-Pactor (operational Q3 2025) and development of 100,000 square feet of shell space to boost oral solid dose (OSD) contract development and manufacturing capabilities.

SUNRx Acquires AuthorityRx

SUNRx, a San Diego-based healthcare technology company and 340B administrator, has acquired AuthorityRx, a Kansas City–area technology and pharmacy consulting firm. The deal adds AuthorityRx's auditing and compliance services plus two cloud-based applications (including the Advanced Claims Capture product) to SUNRx's 340B offerings to improve referral claims capture and increase savings for covered entities.

Apotex Acquires Searchlight Pharma

Apotex Inc. has completed the acquisition of Montreal-based Searchlight Pharma Inc., integrating Searchlight as Apotex's Specialty Pharma Division to expand its branded and specialty pharmaceutical capabilities. The deal adds Searchlight's portfolio of more than 60 products across women's health, dermatology, allergy, pain management and hospital specialty markets, and strengthens Apotex's commercial footprint in Quebec and across the Americas.

Alora Pharmaceuticals Acquires Osmotica's Legacy U.S. Business

Alora Pharmaceuticals, LLC closed the acquisition of Osmotica Pharmaceuticals plc's legacy U.S. business (including Osmotica Pharmaceutical US LLC, Vertical Pharmaceuticals, LLC and Trigen Laboratories, LLC) and the Marietta, Georgia manufacturing facility on August 27, 2021. Osmotica received approximately $111 million in proceeds, which it said would be used to retire a substantial portion of outstanding debt and to focus the company on its ophthalmic product UPNEEQ.

Solar Biotech Acquires Noblegen

Noblegen will operate as Solar Biotech Canada and serve as the group's food-grade-certified biomanufacturing and R&D hub, expanding Solar Biotech's upstream/downstream capabilities and on‑the‑ground capacity in Canada.
