An affiliate of H.I.G. Capital has completed a strategic equity acquisition of STS Aviation Group from Greenbriar Equity Group. STS’s executive team will remain in place and as significant shareholders while H.I.G. positions the business for global expansion, capability growth, and potential add-on acquisitions in the aviation MRO and parts-distribution market.

STS Aviation Group Acquires Airbase Services, Inc.

STS Aviation Group acquired Airbase Services, Inc., an aircraft interiors maintenance, repair and management specialist based in Montreal, Quebec. The acquisition gives STS immediate entry into the Canadian MRO market through Airbase’s four Transport Canada–approved facilities (YUL, YYZ, YWG, YVR); terms were not disclosed and Airbase’s acting president Lena Watters will remain on as President.

Precision Aviation Group (GenNx360 Portfolio Company) Acquires Keystone Turbine Services

Precision Aviation Group, a GenNx360 portfolio company, has acquired Keystone Turbine Services (KTS) of Coatesville, Pennsylvania to expand its aerospace MRO capabilities into the Rolls‑Royce M250 engine. The acquisition increases PAG's repair station footprint and diversifies its aftermarket services, while GenNx360 supports the transaction as PAG's controlling private equity sponsor.

McNally Capital Acquires Airforce Turbine Service (ATS)

McNally Capital has acquired Airforce Turbine Service, Ltd. (ATS), a Texas-headquartered provider of PT6A turboprop engine MRO and aftermarket services, marking the first investment from McNally Capital Fund III. As part of the transaction, Johannesburg-based TEMRO will join ATS as a wholly owned operating subsidiary and industry executive Rob Wilson will serve as Executive Chairman to support scaling and capability expansion.

StandardAero Acquires Aero Turbine Inc.

StandardAero has acquired Aero Turbine, Inc., a Stockton, California-based provider of military engine and accessories MRO services, from Gallant Capital Partners. The acquisition strengthens StandardAero's military engine and component repair capabilities and adds a fully integrated 60,000+ sq. ft. Stockton facility and nearly 200 technicians to its network.

West Star Aviation Acquires Jet East from Gama Aviation

The deal brings together two business-aviation MRO providers to expand geographic coverage, AOG/mobile capabilities, and heavy- and line-maintenance services (transaction announced in Nov 2023; reported sale price ~US$131 million).
