Majesco (NASDAQ: MJCO) entered into a merger agreement to acquire InsPro Technologies Corporation, a U.S.-based provider of policy administration software for the life and annuity insurance market. The cash-for-stock transaction (approximately $12 million of consideration) is intended to expand Majesco's capabilities and scale in the life & annuity, group and voluntary benefits segments; InsPro brings over 50 employees and an established policy administration platform serving large insurers and third-party administrators.

Thoma Bravo Acquires Majesco

Thoma Bravo, a leading private equity firm focused on software and technology-enabled services, completed the acquisition of Majesco, a cloud insurance software provider, in a cash transaction under which Majesco's common stock ceased trading and the company became privately held. The deal was announced with an agreed cash price of $16.00 per share; Majesco employs roughly 2,400+ people and will partner with Thoma Bravo to accelerate its cloud and product investment strategy.
