SPL Inc., a Sentinel Capital Partners–backed provider of testing, inspection and calibration services, has acquired Volumetrics, a specialist in flow meter verification and fiscal loss mitigation. The deal expands SPL’s mobile flow laboratory footprint across North Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Texas and New Mexico and adds metrology and data capabilities to its Metrology Division.

Merck & Co., Inc. Acquires VelosBio Inc.

Merck & Co., Inc. will acquire all outstanding shares of clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company VelosBio for $2.75 billion in cash. The acquisition adds VelosBio's lead investigational antibody-drug conjugate VLS-101 and ROR1-directed pipeline assets to Merck's oncology portfolio and is expected to close by the end of 2020, subject to customary conditions.

Anatomage Inc., a medical imaging and education technology company based in Santa Clara, California, has acquired BioDigital, a New York–based cloud software company that builds virtual 3D models of the human body. The acquisition expands Anatomage’s product portfolio by combining its physical anatomy hardware (the Anatomage Table) with BioDigital’s cloud-based biomedical visualization platform to broaden access to medical visualization for educational, clinical, and industry customers.

Stratasys Acquires Origin to Expand Polymer Mass-Production 3D Printing

Stratasys Ltd. signed an agreement to acquire 3D printing start-up Origin Inc. for up to $100 million (cash and stock), with $60 million paid on closing and $40 million in performance-based earnouts. The deal brings Origin's Programmable PhotoPolymerization (P3) platform and Origin One systems into Stratasys' portfolio to accelerate its push into mass production polymer additive manufacturing across markets such as dental, medical and industrial.

Capital — expands Agilent's CDMO capabilities across biologics, HPAPIs, pDNA/mRNA and LNP formulation, and integrates BIOVECTRA into Agilent's Diagnostics and Genomics Group.
