Duraco Specialty Materials, a North American specialty materials manufacturer and OpenGate Capital portfolio company, has acquired Strata-Tac, Inc., a St. Charles, Illinois-based maker of custom pressure-sensitive self-adhesive products and top-coated films, from private sellers. The transaction — terms undisclosed — is Duraco's fifth add-on under OpenGate and expands Duraco's coating capabilities and water-based chemistry expertise to better serve end markets such as healthcare, flexible packaging, and OEM.

ProAmpac, a Cincinnati-based flexible packaging manufacturer owned by Pritzker Private Capital, has acquired Specialty Packaging, Inc., a family-owned paper, film and foil packaging manufacturer based in Fort Worth, Texas. The acquisition expands ProAmpac's paper bag converting capacity, broadens its recyclable foodservice packaging portfolio and extends its footprint into the southwestern United States.

TIPCO Technologies Acquires Gasket Specialties, Inc.

TIPCO Technologies, a Platte River Equity portfolio company, has acquired Gasket Specialties, Inc., a family-owned manufacturer and distributor of gaskets and seals based in Richmond, California. The add-on expands TIPCO's custom gasket fabrication and distribution capabilities and extends its West Coast footprint, bringing TIPCO to 46 locations across 17 states. The seller was owner Anita Gutierrez.
