IMS Health acquired Privacy Analytics to integrate its de-identification and data governance technology into IMS Health’s Real-World Evidence (RWE) platform, expanding the company’s capabilities in privacy-preserving analytics for life sciences and healthcare clients. The acquisition will allow IMS Health to offer Privacy Analytics’ software and advisory services across its global client base while continuing to offer the solutions as an independent product suite.

Royal Philips Acquires Capsule Technologies from Francisco Partners for $635M

Royal Philips agreed to acquire Capsule Technologies, a portfolio company of Francisco Partners, for $635 million in cash. The deal will fold Capsule — a developer of medical device integration, patient monitoring, and clinical surveillance software used by hospitals worldwide — into Philips' Connected Care segment; Capsule has roughly 300 employees and serves more than 2,800 hospitals in 40 countries.

Warburg Pincus and Mubadala Acquire Pharma Intelligence from Informa

ONRAD Acquires Direct Radiology from Royal Philips

The deal combines Direct Radiology's ~80 radiologists and 430+ facility relationships with ONRAD's existing platform to create the largest independent teleradiology provider in the United States; Direct Radiology will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of ONRAD.

Danaher Acquires Aquatic Informatics from XPV Water Partners

Royal Philips to Acquire BioTelemetry, Inc. for $2.8B

Royal Philips has agreed to acquire BioTelemetry, Inc. in a cash tender offer of USD 72.00 per share, implying an enterprise value of approximately USD 2.8 billion. The deal combines Philips' hospital patient-monitoring capabilities with BioTelemetry's remote cardiac diagnostics and monitoring services (which serve over 1 million patients annually and had 2019 sales of about USD 439 million) to expand Philips' patient care management offerings across hospital and home settings.
