Royal Philips Acquires Capsule Technologies from Francisco Partners for $635M

Royal Philips agreed to acquire Capsule Technologies, a portfolio company of Francisco Partners, for $635 million in cash. The deal will fold Capsule — a developer of medical device integration, patient monitoring, and clinical surveillance software used by hospitals worldwide — into Philips' Connected Care segment; Capsule has roughly 300 employees and serves more than 2,800 hospitals in 40 countries.
