A fund managed by Macquarie Asset Management (via Macquarie Infrastructure Partners VI) has agreed to acquire a 100% stake in the Monte Rodovias S.A. toll-road platform from a fund managed by Monte Capital Management. The portfolio comprises five concessioned toll roads totalling about 740 km across Bahia, Pernambuco and Mato Grosso, and the deal expands Macquarie's transportation infrastructure footprint in Brazil and Latin America; terms were not disclosed and the transaction is expected to close in 2H2025.

Macquarie Asset Management (via Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 7) has acquired a 50% stake in Last Mile Infrastructure Group from Infracapital, with Infracapital retaining the remaining 50%. Last Mile, one of the UK’s largest independent network owners that designs, builds, owns and operates last-mile electricity, gas, water and wastewater networks, will benefit from the partnership to support growth and energy-transition opportunities across the UK. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals.

Macquarie Asset Management Acquires Minority Stake in Best in Parking AG

Macquarie Asset Management, via Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 7, has agreed to acquire a significant minority stake in Best in Parking AG, a Vienna-based developer, owner and operator of parking and mobility infrastructure across Central and Southeast Europe. The investment will support Best in Parking’s rollout of EV charging (targeting ~1,000 chargers by 2025), digital solutions and further site expansion; the Breiteneder family (through Breiteneder Immobilien Parking AG) will retain the majority stake. The transaction was expected to close by Q3 2023 and terms were not disclosed.

Antin Infrastructure Partners Acquires Majority Stake in RAW Charging

Antin Infrastructure Partners acquired a majority stake in RAW Charging, a UK-based operator that installs and owns destination EV charging points, to accelerate RAW’s rollout of more than 10,000 chargers over the next three years. The investment is part of Antin’s NextGen infrastructure strategy to expand its EV charging platform and support transport decarbonisation in the UK; the deal was expected to close in early Q3 2022.

Antin Infrastructure Partners Invests in Power Dot

Antin Infrastructure Partners’ NextGen platform has signed an agreement to acquire a co-controlling stake in Power Dot, a Portugal-founded owner-operator of destination and en-route EV charging infrastructure across Europe. The investment will support Power Dot’s pan-European expansion of its network of ~5,000 charging points and accelerate deployment through existing commercial partnerships with retailers, shopping centres, motorway service stations and fleet operators.
