The North Road Company Acquires Red Arrow Studios' U.S. Assets

Peter Chernin launched The North Road Company and consolidated Chernin Entertainment, Words + Pictures and the newly acquired U.S. assets of Red Arrow Studios to form a global content studio. Providence Equity Partners committed up to $500 million of equity to support expansion and Apollo (through managed affiliates) provided $300 million of debt financing; ProSiebenSat.1 sold the U.S. production business to North Road.

Candle Media Acquires Faraway Road Productions

The deal, backed by investment capital from Blackstone, is intended to accelerate Faraway Road’s global growth and expand Candle’s creator-driven content capabilities; terms were not disclosed.

Mediawan Takes 51% Stake in See-Saw Films

SP Media Group Acquires Avenue Six Studios

Connect Media, a Los Angeles-based B2B media company, has acquired Louisville-based Networld Media Group, a business-to-business news and events operator serving the restaurant, retail, banking and self-service technology sectors. The deal expands Connect Media's media and events footprint into adjacent verticals and grows the combined team's headcount to more than 60 employees; terms were not disclosed.
