Digital Colony Partners Acquires Beanfield Technologies Inc.

Digital Colony Partners, the digital infrastructure investment platform of Colony Capital, has acquired Beanfield Technologies Inc., an independent fiber and bandwidth provider in Canada. The acquisition expands Digital Colony's fiber footprint in Toronto and Montreal—adding hundreds of route kilometers, tens of thousands of strand kilometers and over 500 on-net locations—to serve enterprise, carrier (MNO) and data center customers. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Beanfield Metroconnect Acquires Epik Networks

The acquisition expands Beanfield’s business communications and managed connectivity offerings and broadens its customer base across major Canadian markets.

Beanfield Technologies Acquires Openface

The transaction was funded through an equity commitment from Digital Colony Partners; Openface's employees will join Beanfield and the company will continue to operate from Montreal. Everstream Acquires Rocket Fiber

Everstream has agreed to acquire Rocket Fiber, a Detroit-based fiber internet service provider, including its fiber network, two downtown Detroit offices and more than 75 employees. The acquisition expands Everstream's Midwest footprint and gives it the largest fiber footprint in greater downtown Detroit; terms were not disclosed.

GI Partners Acquires Majority Interest in Blue Stream Fiber

AerioConnect, backed by private equity firm M/C Partners, has acquired Metro Fiber LLC, a Los Angeles–based internet service provider serving multi-family residential (HOA) communities. The acquisition, which closed after M/C Partners' September 30, 2020 investment in Aerio, expands Aerio's customer base and depth in the greater Los Angeles broadband market.
