DwyerOmega, a portfolio company of Arcline Investment Management, has acquired Process Sensing Technologies (PST) from AEA Investors' Middle Market Private Equity team and Battery Ventures. PST, based in Ely, Cambridgeshire, UK, is a global designer and manufacturer of precision sensors, analyzers and monitoring systems serving end markets including pharmaceuticals, semiconductor and building automation; terms were not disclosed.

Rees Scientific, headquartered in Trenton, New Jersey, provides automated environmental monitoring systems and a differentiated service network serving biopharma, biotech, hospitals, blood banks, academic and CRO customers.

Process Insights (Union Park Capital) Acquires Schneider Electric's Process Analyzers Business

Process Insights, a portfolio company of Union Park Capital, acquired the assets of the Process Analyzers business from Schneider Electric. The deal transfers Schneider's FTIR/FT-NIR analyzers and process mass spectrometer technology (ANALECT and MGA product lines) to Process Insights to expand its online and laboratory analytical instrumentation portfolio and capabilities.

KPM Analytics (Union Park Capital) Acquires Sensortech Systems

KPM Analytics, a portfolio company of Union Park Capital, has acquired Sensortech Systems, Inc., an Oxnard, California-based manufacturer of near infrared (NIR) and radio frequency (RF) moisture measurement instruments. Sensortech will join KPM’s portfolio to expand its NIR technology offering and add RF capabilities; Sensortech’s CEO Colin Hanson and the existing management team will remain in place. Terms were not disclosed.

AMETEK Acquires Alphasense

AMETEK, Inc. acquired Alphasense, a UK-based designer and manufacturer of gas and particulate sensors for environmental, health & safety, and air quality applications. Alphasense, headquartered in Great Notley, Essex, reported approximately £25 million in annual sales and will join AMETEK’s Electronic Instruments Group to expand its presence in the environmental health and safety market.

AEA Investors Acquires BMS Enterprises

AEA Investors' Middle Market Private Equity team has closed the acquisition of BMS Enterprises, a Fort Worth-based provider of fire, water and reconstruction restoration services. AEA will back BMS — which operates 17 U.S. branches and a national catastrophe team and employs roughly 850 people — to support continued organic growth and expansion of its restoration and reconstruction capabilities.
