Marmic Fire & Safety Co., a portfolio company of Thompson Street Capital Partners, has acquired Fire Control Systems of Charlotte, a provider of commercial fire protection services based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The add-on deal—Marmic's fifth since partnering with TSCP—expands Marmic's geographic footprint across the eastern United States and strengthens its inspection, testing, and service capabilities for fire extinguishers, alarm and suppression systems, and emergency lighting.

Marmic, headquartered in Joplin, Missouri, is a leading provider of regulation-mandated fire protection inspection, testing and maintenance services with more than 1,000 employees and over 56,000 customers across commercial, industrial, multi‑family, education, government, and healthcare end markets; KKR will maintain Marmic as an independent company and implement a broad-based employee ownership program.

Marmic Fire & Safety, a platform company owned by private equity firm HGGC, acquired four independent fire protection businesses — Absolute Fire Protection (Paragould, AR), Kansas City Fire & Security (Olathe, KS), West Memphis Fire Extinguisher (West Memphis, AR), and F.L. Sons Fire Equipment Company (Mackinaw, IL) — in Q1 2023. The deals expand Marmic's geographic footprint across Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Arkansas and Tennessee and broaden its recurring life-safety services including fire extinguisher, sprinkler, alarm, suppression and related security/access offerings.

The deals add water-based sprinkler installation capabilities, extinguisher and kitchen-hood services, and strengthen AFP's ability to serve commercial and industrial customers across Texas.
