RCap Equity Partners (also referenced as RCap Investors, LLC) has acquired a controlling interest in Douglas-Guardian Services Corporation, a Houston-based provider of collateral monitoring, inspection and management services for asset-based lenders. Farragut Capital Partners provided unitranche debt financing to support the transaction; RCap intends to partner with Douglas-Guardian management to grow the business and expand its service and technology capabilities.

CitNOW Acquires Quik.

U.K.-based CitNOW, backed by investment firm Tenzing, has acquired Quik., a Quincy, Massachusetts-based cloud SaaS provider of digital multi-point inspections, technician video, parts pricing and integrated payments for auto dealerships. The deal expands CitNOW’s U.S. footprint in the dealer after-sales market and will allow development of the Quik. after-sales platform for OEM and dealer group partners in the U.K. and Europe. Quik. CEO Jack Gardner is stepping down; COO Chad Deaver will remain and report to CitNOW CEO Alistair Horsburgh.

Envisage Technologies Acquires Guardian Tracking

Envisage Technologies, a Bloomington, Indiana-based provider of training and compliance software for public safety agencies, has acquired Guardian Tracking, an Indianapolis-based provider of early intervention and employee performance management software for law enforcement. The acquisition expands Envisage's Acadis Readiness Suite by adding Guardian Tracking’s early intervention, use-of-force, and positive recognition capabilities to accelerate its agency management roadmap.

GPS Trackit (Inverness Graham-backed) Acquires Zonar Systems from Continental

GPS Trackit, the Inverness Graham-backed fleet telematics and video company, has acquired Zonar Systems from Continental. The deal (terms undisclosed) combines GPS Trackit's video telematics platform with Zonar's smart fleet management capabilities to deepen presence in government, education and commercial fleet markets and expand fleet safety, health and compliance offerings.
