Hitachi Automotive Systems to Acquire Chassis Brakes International from KPS Capital Partners

Hitachi Automotive Systems, a subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., has agreed to acquire Chassis Brakes International Group from KPS Capital Partners pursuant to a put option agreement. The transaction, which remains subject to works council consultations and customary closing conditions, will transfer a global manufacturer of automotive foundation brakes and components headquartered in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, to Hitachi Automotive.

KPS Capital Partners Acquires Innomotics from Siemens AG

KPS Capital Partners has agreed to acquire Innomotics GmbH from Siemens AG for an enterprise value of €3.5 billion, with completion expected in Q4 2024 or Q1 2025 subject to customary approvals. Innomotics, headquartered in Nuremberg, Germany, is a global supplier of electric motors and large drive systems generating about €3.3 billion in annual revenue and employing roughly 15,000 people across 16 factories and operations in 49 countries.

Brookfield Business Partners L.P., together with its institutional partners, agreed to acquire DexKo Global Inc. from KPS Capital Partners for $3.4 billion. DexKo, a Novi, Michigan–based manufacturer of chassis technology and trailer/RV components employing more than 6,000 people with global production and distribution footprint, was transformed under KPS via 15 acquisitions and operational improvements prior to the sale.

Global investment firm KKR has completed its acquisition of Hitachi Transport System Ltd. (HTS) through a KKR-controlled special purpose vehicle (HTSK), with Hitachi Ltd. retaining a 10% stake in the holding company. HTS will be renamed LOGISTEED and will continue to operate its Japan-focused 3PL, forwarding and warehousing businesses as KKR partners with Hitachi to pursue growth and expand capabilities.
