Kadant Inc. completed the acquisition of KWS Manufacturing Company, Ltd. for approximately $84 million in cash, financed primarily through borrowings under Kadant's revolving credit facility. KWS, based in Burleson, Texas, is a manufacturer of screw conveyors, screw feeders, slide gates, and bucket elevators serving food, chemical, and wood process industries; it has about 165 employees and reported $45 million in trailing twelve‑month revenue. The business will join Kadant's Material Handling reporting segment to expand product portfolios and internal capabilities.

Kadant Inc. Acquires Key Knife, Inc.

Kadant Inc. has agreed to acquire Key Knife, Inc. and certain affiliates for approximately $156 million in cash, with the deal expected to close in early January 2024. Key Knife, headquartered in Tualatin, Oregon, (141 employees, ~$65M trailing twelve-month revenue) will become part of Kadant's Industrial Processing segment; the acquisition will be financed primarily through borrowings under Kadant's revolving credit facility.

Kadant Acquires Dynamic Sealing Technologies

Kadant Inc. has completed the acquisition of Dynamic Sealing Technologies LLC (DSTI) for approximately $55 million in cash. DSTI, a manufacturer of fluid rotary unions and electrical slip rings based in Andover, Minnesota (approximately 90 employees and ~$25M trailing twelve-month revenue), will join Kadant's Flow Control segment to expand its engineered fluid sealing and transfer capabilities and extend presence into adjacent end markets.

Kadant Acquires Syntron Material Handling from Levine Leichtman Capital Partners

Kent Group will continue to operate independently in Canada while Kalibrate will integrate Kent's analysis and benchmarking services into its North American offering to deliver combined pricing, location planning, data and consultancy solutions.
