Visa Inc. Acquires Currencycloud

Visa Inc. completed the acquisition of Currencycloud, a London-based cloud payments and FX API platform, to strengthen Visa's foreign-exchange and cross-border payments capabilities. Currencycloud will continue to operate from its London headquarters and serve banks, fintechs and businesses globally; the deal builds on an existing strategic partnership between the two companies.

Fiserv Acquires Pineapple Payments from PSG

Fiserv has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Pineapple Payments, a Pittsburgh-based payments technology provider, from growth equity firm PSG. The deal will bring Pineapple into Fiserv's Global Business Solutions division (Partner Solutions unit) to expand Fiserv's delivery of omni-channel payment solutions and broaden distribution to ISVs and SMB merchants; the transaction is expected to close in Q2 2021.
