National HealthCare Corporation Acquires Remaining Interest in Caris Healthcare

National HealthCare Corporation (NHC) purchased the outstanding interest in hospice and palliative care provider Caris Healthcare, L.P. from Norman C. McRae and McRae Investment Company, LLC on June 11, 2021, making Caris a wholly owned subsidiary. Caris operates 28 hospice locations serving over 1,200 patients per day across Georgia, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia; the acquisition supports NHC's strategy to expand its continuum of senior care services.
