HCA Healthcare Acquires 80% Stake in Brookdale Health Care Services from Brookdale Senior Living

HCA Healthcare has completed the purchase of an 80% equity stake in Brookdale Health Care Services from Brookdale Senior Living for $400 million, creating a joint venture that adds approximately 80 sites of care and more than 4,000 colleagues to HCA. Brookdale retained a 20% interest; the transaction expands HCA's post-acute care capabilities (home health, hospice and therapy) to improve care coordination, quality and access.
