Aurora Health has acquired Cornerstone Treatment Facilities Network, an inpatient addiction and rehabilitation provider with locations in Fresh Meadows and Rhinebeck, New York. Carl Marks Securities advised Cornerstone on the sale; financial terms were not disclosed and the seller included employee owners through an ESOP. The acquisition expands Aurora's portfolio of healthcare facilities and behavioral-health capabilities.

LifePoint Health Acquires Kindred Healthcare

LifePoint Health agreed to acquire Kindred Healthcare in June 2021 and completed the transaction in December 2021, combining LifePoint's community hospital network with Kindred's long-term acute care, rehabilitation and behavioral health capabilities. The deal created a new national system, ScionHealth, and LifePoint committed to invest roughly $1.5 billion over three years to expand services, technology and community-based care.

Bradford Health Services Acquires Cornerstone of Recovery

Cornerstone’s founders Phil and Allison Hakopian and their team will remain in place, joining Gallagher’s Southwest retail property/casualty brokerage under Scott Firestone to strengthen Gallagher’s homeowners association and regional commercial insurance capabilities.

Lifepoint Health Acquires Cornerstone Behavioral Health El Dorado

Lifepoint Health has acquired Cornerstone Behavioral Health El Dorado, a 54-bed inpatient behavioral health facility in Tucson, Arizona that employs roughly 100 people. Lifepoint said the facility will be integrated into its Lifepoint Behavioral Health platform and that it plans to invest in growth, adding nearly 50 beds to expand capacity and access to behavioral health services.

Pathstone Acquires Cornerstone Advisors Inc.

Pathstone, a partner-owned multigenerational family office, has acquired Cornerstone Advisors Inc., a Bellevue, Washington-based wealth and lifestyle management firm. The combination adds Cornerstone's ~$4 billion AUM and ~65 employees to Pathstone, expanding capabilities, scale and partner ownership across the combined firm (roughly 200 employees across nine offices and ~$20 billion in advisory assets).
