Polytek Development Corp., a portfolio company of Arsenal Capital Partners, acquired Specialty Resin & Chemical, a Dowagiac, Michigan–based supplier of mold making, casting, and coating resins. Daniel Wilson, the owner of Specialty Resin & Chemical, will remain in an active role; Genesis Capital served as financial advisor to Polytek.

Vertellus Acquires Specialty Ingredients Businesses from Chemtrade

Vertellus, a Pritzker Private Capital–backed specialty chemicals manufacturer, completed the acquisition of certain Chemtrade businesses that produce potassium chloride, caustic pellets and vaccine adjuvants. The deal expands Vertellus’ capabilities and product portfolio in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors and strengthens its manufacturing footprint for specialty ingredients.

Chemtron Corporation Acquires Tonawanda Environmental Corporation

Chemtron Corporation, a Kinderhook Industries portfolio company, acquired the assets of Tonawanda Environmental Corporation (TEC), a Buffalo-based hazardous and non-hazardous waste management provider. The add-on expands Chemtron's regional footprint into Western New York and brings TEC employees and waste-brokering capabilities into Chemtron's suite of services; financial terms were not disclosed.

Solenis Acquires CedarChem LLC

Solenis, a Wilmington, Delaware-based specialty chemicals producer owned by Platinum Equity, acquired CedarChem LLC and its operating assets on October 2, 2023. CedarChem, headquartered in Cedartown, Georgia, supplies water and wastewater treatment products to industrial and municipal customers in the southeastern United States; the deal expands Solenis' product and service capabilities and regional go-to-market presence.

Warburg Pincus (via Canyon Trail) Acquires Majority Stake in Watertec India

Canyon Trail Investments B.V., an affiliate of Warburg Pincus, has acquired a majority stake in Watertec India Private Limited, a Coimbatore-based polymer bath-fittings manufacturer and brand. The investment will support Watertec’s growth — expanding product portfolio, strengthening brand equity, and broadening geographic reach across Tier 2/3 and rural India; Mathew Job will join as Executive Chairman.

Edgewater Capital Partners Acquires GL CHEMTEC

Edgewater will support GLC's expansion of API development, scale-up and advanced materials capabilities to accelerate growth across North American pharma and life-sciences customers.
