IPS Group Acquires Populus Technologies

IPS Group, a San Diego-based provider of smart parking and curb management technologies, has acquired Populus Technologies, a San Francisco-based provider of mobility data, curb management and parking payments software. The acquisition will integrate Populus' mobility and curb-data platform with IPS's parking, payment and enforcement systems to expand IPS's smart mobility capabilities for municipalities, universities, transportation agencies and private operators.

IBI Group Acquires Assets of Telenium Inc.

IBI Group Inc. completed the purchase of the assets and intellectual property of Manitoba-based Telenium Inc., including its 511 advanced traveller information solution and road condition reporting system. The acquisition bolsters IBI's Travel-IQ SaaS offering, expands its 511 service footprint across Canadian provinces, and adds recurring revenue and Telenium's software development team to IBI.

NetApp Acquires Spot

NetApp has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Spot (formerly Spotinst), a provider of cloud compute management and cost-optimization software, to establish leadership in Application Driven Infrastructure. The acquisition pairs NetApp’s shared storage platform with Spot’s continuous optimization platform to help customers reduce cloud compute and storage costs and accelerate public cloud adoption; the deal is expected to close in the first half of NetApp’s fiscal year subject to customary approvals.

Hub International Acquires Integrated Benefits Group Insurance Brokerage, Inc.

The deal combines ChapterSpot’s CRM capabilities with Billhighway’s finance platform to create an integrated solution for member engagement and financial management; ChapterSpot co-founders Joe McMenemon and Brendan Finke will join Billhighway’s executive team.
