Dental Intelligence, a Utah-based dental analytics and workflow automation platform, has acquired Modento, a patient engagement and practice management software. The acquisition expands Dental Intelligence's product suite and customer-facing capabilities; Modento's CEO Karol Jasik and team will join DI. The transaction is supported by Dental Intelligence's shareholders PSG, Blue Star Innovation Partners, and K1 Investment Management; financial terms were not disclosed.

Smile Brands Acquires Midwest Dental

Smile Brands Inc., a portfolio company of Gryphon Investors, completed the acquisition of Midwest Dental, a Dental Support Organization with over 230 offices headquartered in Mondovi, Wisconsin. The combination creates one of the largest DSOs in the U.S., representing approximately 650 offices and over 8,000 employees across 30 states; terms were not disclosed.

Young Innovations Acquires Medical Purchasing Solutions

Young Innovations, a portfolio company of The Jordan Company, has acquired Medical Purchasing Solutions (MPS), a Scottsdale-based supplier of pharmaceuticals and surgical supplies focused on oral surgery and dental implant markets. The deal adds MPS's product portfolio and customer relationships serving oral surgeons and periodontists to Young Innovations' dental supply platform and will keep MPS co-CEOs in leadership roles.
