MISUMI Group Inc., a global supplier of mechanical components based in Japan, has acquired Fictiv, a San Francisco–based digital manufacturing and supply chain technology company. The deal combines MISUMI’s extensive product catalog and logistics footprint with Fictiv’s AI-powered manufacturing platform to build an integrated global manufacturing platform and expand capacity and services for customers across aerospace, medical, robotics and other end markets.

Nimble Gravity Acquires Fog Solutions

Nimble Gravity, a Denver-based data and AI consultancy, has acquired Fog Solutions, a U.S.-based data and AI firm known for Microsoft Azure and Databricks expertise. The deal brings about 50 data and AI experts into Nimble Gravity’s team — expanding capabilities in cloud-native data platforms and AI delivery and increasing the combined headcount to roughly 250.

Persistent Systems Acquires Data Glove Inc.

Persistent Systems has entered into an agreement to acquire the business of Princeton, New Jersey-based Data Glove Inc. The acquisition adds Data Glove's Microsoft Azure consulting, business applications and workplace capabilities (700+ employees and about $49M CY21 revenue) to Persistent and will form a new dedicated Microsoft business unit to expand Azure offerings, training, and nearshore delivery.

Infruid’s founder, Mahesh Yellai, joined Pega as senior director, data & analytics, and the capabilities are planned to debut as part of Pega’s new BI offering at PegaWorld 2019.
