Auction Technology Group (ATG) to Acquire LiveAuctioneers

Auction Technology Group plc (ATG) has announced a proposed acquisition of LiveAuctioneers, the New York–headquartered online marketplace for art, antiques and collectibles. The deal will extend ATG’s footprint into the North American art and antiques market and aims to deepen investment in the end-to-end online auction experience; LiveAuctioneers will continue to operate from its New York headquarters under CEO Phil Michaelson, subject to customary regulatory approvals.

TA Associates Acquires Auction Technology Group and Proxibid

TA Associates acquired Auction Technology Group (ATG) from ECI Partners and Proxibid from Primus Capital, closing both transactions on February 13, 2020. The two online auction marketplaces will be combined under the ATG umbrella (headquartered in London) while retaining substantial operations in Omaha, Nebraska, with ECI reinvesting as a minority shareholder; financial terms were not disclosed.

Auction Mobility Acquires Paid Labs

Auction Mobility, a Boston-based provider of white-label e-commerce solutions for auction houses, acquired Paid Labs, a San Francisco-based invoicing and payments API provider. The acquisition will integrate Paid Labs' billing and payment-collection capabilities into Auction Mobility's platform to expand back-office and invoicing functionality for auction customers.

Auction Technology Group Acquires Chairish Inc.

The deal combines Chairish's fixed-price, design-focused marketplace with ATG's auction marketplaces to expand selection and sales channels in the global art, antiques and home-furnishings market.

The acquisition will combine M2M in Motion’s Fleet Motion platform with AAMP’s engineering, manufacturing and installer network to accelerate product development and broaden offerings for commercial and passenger vehicle customers.
