Auction Technology Group plc (ATG) has announced a proposed acquisition of LiveAuctioneers, the New York–headquartered online marketplace for art, antiques and collectibles. The deal will extend ATG’s footprint into the North American art and antiques market and aims to deepen investment in the end-to-end online auction experience; LiveAuctioneers will continue to operate from its New York headquarters under CEO Phil Michaelson, subject to customary regulatory approvals.

Castik Capital Acquires TBAuctions

Funds managed by Castik Capital will acquire TBAuctions, the European online auction platform formed from Troostwijk Auctions and BVA Auctions, to accelerate pan‑European growth through organic expansion and buy‑and‑build. The deal (subject to Works Council and ACM approvals) will back TBAuctions' ATLAS technology platform and support further add‑on acquisitions across Europe while existing management will remain significant shareholders.
