Grain Management Acquires Majority Interest in Summit Broadband from Cable Bahamas Ltd.

Washington, D.C.-based private equity firm Grain Management, LLC acquired a majority interest in Summit Vista, Inc. (dba Summit Broadband) from Cable Bahamas Ltd. Summit Broadband is a fiber-optic telecommunications provider serving residential, business and carrier customers across central and southwest Florida. The deal closed in January 2020 after being announced in August 2019; financial terms were not disclosed.

Nelnet Business Services Acquires Next Gen Web Solutions

Nelnet Business Services, a division of Nelnet, Inc., has acquired Next Gen Web Solutions and will incorporate the company into its Nelnet Campus Commerce business line. Next Gen, headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, provides software solutions for higher education—expanding Nelnet's product suite for form building, financial aid exception processing, verification, scholarship management, and work-study administrative support.

SIS Group Acquires NexGen Fibers

Durham, North Carolina-based SIS Group LLC (formerly SBC Group) has acquired NexGen Fibers, LLC, a supplier of Hydro‑Bond hydrophilic nylon fiber and Vulcan basalt reinforcement bars. The acquisition adds a warehouse and processing capability, enabling SIS Group to vertically integrate supply of critical reinforcement materials and expand its North American materials business.
