Chicago-based private equity firm Wind Point Partners has acquired a controlling interest in U.S. Nonwovens, Inc., a Brentwood, New York-based manufacturer of personal care, OTC, cosmetic, laundry and household cleaning products. The Mehdizadeh family (company co-founders) retain significant equity and will remain involved while Wind Point will back organic growth and pursue add-on acquisitions to expand USN's product and manufacturing capabilities.

PPC Flexible Packaging Acquires Custom Poly Bag, Inc.

PPC Flexible Packaging LLC, a Buffalo Grove, Illinois-based flexible packaging manufacturer, has acquired Custom Poly Bag, Inc., a family-owned flexible packaging converter based in Alliance, Ohio. The deal expands PPC's manufacturing footprint and capabilities in film extrusion, printing and bag operations, and is the latest add-on in PPC's multi-year acquisition strategy.

Vonco Products Acquires Flex-Pak Packaging Products

Vonco Products LLC acquired Flex-Pak Packaging Products, Inc., a Batavia, Illinois-based specialist in flexible barrier packaging and sterile DuPont Tyvek pouches. The acquisition, which closed December 31, 2021, expands Vonco's contract manufacturing capabilities for healthcare and consumer markets by adding sterile barrier pouch expertise and complementary packaging services.

Solenis Acquires Aqua ChemPacs

The deal adds Aqua ChemPacs' eco-friendly ChemPacs technology and low-carbon-footprint packaging to Solenis' Diversey portfolio, expanding the company's institutional cleaning and sustainability capabilities.

The transaction keeps WWP's senior management in place and aims to combine US customer-facing design and sales capabilities with manufacturing scale in China to expand service offerings and access high-growth Asian markets.

Novvia Group Acquires Liquid Bottles

Novvia Group, a PE-backed global rigid container and life sciences packaging distributor, has acquired Liquid Bottles LLC, a Florida-based supplier of plastic and glass containers and other rigid packaging products. The deal—terms not disclosed—adds a 40,000 sq ft Palmetto, Florida warehouse and management team to Novvia, expanding its product breadth and presence in the Southeastern U.S.; Novvia is backed by private equity firm Kelso & Company.
