Tetra Tech, Inc. has acquired Hoare Lea, a UK-based sustainable engineering consultancy founded in 1862 with roughly 800–900 employees. The deal (terms not disclosed) adds Hoare Lea to Tetra Tech’s High Performance Buildings Group to expand capabilities in net-zero carbon design, digital engineering and building performance for commercial and government clients.

New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., Inc. (NESL) has acquired all outstanding stock of Hempt Bros., Inc., adding three aggregate plants, four hot mix asphalt plants, two ready-mix concrete plants and a paving/heavy-highway construction business in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area. The acquisition expands NESL's construction materials footprint into the Harrisburg market and is expected to be accretive to profits while completed with virtually no additional long-term debt.

Pavement Partners and Brothers National Merge to Form Pave America
