Specialized Packaging Group Acquires Packaging Concepts & Design and Packaging Specialists, Inc.

Specialized Packaging Group (SPG), a portfolio company of Altamont Capital Partners, acquired Packaging Concepts & Design (PC&D) of Troy, Michigan and Packaging Specialists, Inc. (PSI) of Phoenix, Arizona from common owner O2 Investment Partners. The add-on acquisition expands SPG's Engineered Packaging capabilities, adds roughly 100 employees to the combined workforce, and strengthens SPG's engineering, design and manufacturing footprint across North America—particularly in automotive and aerospace end markets.

The deal will integrate Promotion Concepts' operations into Metro Printed Products to expand print capabilities and streamline client solutions while retaining continuity with the former owner's daughter, Ashlyn Powers, joining the team.

Crimson Phoenix, a Godspeed Capital-backed intelligence and data platform, has acquired Virginia-based Blackspoke, an intelligence solutions provider specializing in geospatial solutions, software development and enterprise technology. The deal brings nearly 100 cleared employees and seven prime contracts (including work with NGA and NRO) into the Crimson Phoenix platform as part of its buy-and-build strategy.
