Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, has completed its acquisition of Innovative, a provider of integrated library systems headquartered in Emeryville, California. Innovative will operate as a business unit within Ex Libris as the combined organization integrates Ex Libris' cloud technology to accelerate development of cloud-based library solutions and support Innovative's existing product portfolio.

OCLC Acquires cloudLibrary from Bibliotheca

OCLC has acquired cloudLibrary, the digital lending platform and assets of Bibliotheca’s Digital Solutions Group, to expand its digital content services for public libraries. The transaction transfers cloudLibrary staff to OCLC and is intended to strengthen OCLC’s infrastructure and service offerings for libraries worldwide.

Clarivate Acquires ProQuest

Clarivate plc announced a definitive agreement on May 17, 2021 and completed the acquisition of ProQuest on Dec. 1, 2021. Clarivate paid $5.3 billion including refinancing of ProQuest debt (approximately $4.0 billion cash and $1.3 billion equity) to acquire the global software, content, data and analytics provider from Cambridge Information Group and other investors including Atairos to expand its research intelligence capabilities.
