Boyne Capital has made a platform equity investment in McNish, LLC, the Aurora, Illinois-based designer and manufacturer of wastewater treatment equipment (which operates the Walker Process Equipment, Amwell, and E&I Corporation brands). Capitala Group led a senior debt financing package and provided a minority equity co-investment to support the transaction and McNish's growth in the municipal water and wastewater market.

Brixey & Meyer Capital Acquires Smith Equipment Solutions

Brixey & Meyer Capital (BMC) has acquired Smith Equipment Solutions, a Raleigh, North Carolina-based provider of sales, installation and field service for automotive aftermarket shop equipment. The transaction — closed October 31, 2024 — is BMC's second add-on to its automotive equipment platform (following its recent ProMain purchase) and the sellers, Wil and Emily Smith, will retain an ownership stake.

Heartland Home Services Acquires Henry Smith Plumbing, Heating & Cooling

Boyne Capital Acquires McKee Utility Contractors

Boyne Capital (through an affiliate) has partnered with McKee Utility Contractors' management and founding family in a platform investment to acquire McKee Utility Contractors, a water and sewer pipeline and utility infrastructure services provider. The investment will support McKee's growth across municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater projects in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas and help the company capitalize on increased public water/sewer infrastructure spending.

Salas O'Brien Acquires M/E Engineering

Salas O'Brien has merged with M/E Engineering to expand its mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), fire protection and sustainable design capabilities across upstate New York. The deal brings M/E Engineering’s team and local offices in Rochester, Buffalo, Schenectady and Syracuse into Salas O'Brien while preserving the M/E leadership and local operations.
