NAMSA, an ARCHIMED-backed MedTech testing and clinical consulting firm, has acquired WuXi AppTec’s U.S. medical device testing operations (facilities in Minnesota and Georgia). The add-on expands NAMSA’s laboratory capacity and scientific capabilities across biocompatibility, microbiology, preclinical and extractables & leachables testing to better serve medical device manufacturers.

Toledo-based NAMSA, a medical-device-focused contract research organization owned by ARCHIMED's MED Platform I, has acquired Minneapolis-based American Preclinical Services (APS). The add-on expands NAMSA's lab, surgical instrumentation and imaging capabilities and increases its footprint in Minnesota; debt financing for the deal was provided by funds managed by Ares Management Corporation.

Toledo-based NAMSA, a portfolio company of healthcare-focused private equity firm ARCHIMED, has acquired Clinlogix, a Lower Gwynedd, Pennsylvania-based contract research organization (CRO) focused on medical device clinical trials. The deal expands NAMSA's clinical trial capacity by roughly 25%, deepens therapeutic expertise in neurology, oncology, urology and nephrology, and strengthens global trial capabilities with Clinlogix facilities in Japan, Germany and Colombia.

ArchiMed Acquires Majority Stake in NAMSA

NAMSA's president and senior management retained a significant double-digit stake; ArchiMed said the investment will support NAMSA's international growth and buy‑and‑build strategy to broaden services and accelerate expansion.
