Onecom, backed by LDC, has acquired rival Olive Communications to create the UK's largest B2B mobile, fixed-line and cloud communications specialist. The deal consolidates market share, brings combined annual turnover of more than £140m and follows follow-on funding from LDC while growth investor BGF exits its stake in Olive.

LDC Invests in Message Direct (Management Buyout)

LDC has supported Duncan Strike and Message Direct's management team in a management buyout of Message Direct, the Ferndown-based outsourced communications and 24/7 call answering provider. The investment will fund the management team's buy-and-build growth strategy, support organic expansion and investment in transformational technology (including AI), and the business will be guided by new board appointees joining post-transaction.

LDC and MSQ Management Acquire MSQ Partners from NVM

LDC has invested alongside MSQ Partners' senior management to acquire MSQ Partners in a deal valuing the business at around £37.5 million, enabling NVM Private Equity to exit. MSQ Partners is a multi-disciplinary marketing communications group of more than 600 employees across the UK, Asia and the US; LDC's capital will be used to accelerate international growth, expand capabilities and pursue potential acquisitions.

Paragon Group Acquires DG3 Europe Business

General Datatech Acquires MDS Global IT

General Datatech (GDT), a portfolio company of HIG Capital, has acquired MDS Global IT to expand GDT’s collaboration and contact center capabilities, including Cisco Unified Collaboration and Unified Contact Center Enterprise expertise. The acquisition adds MDS’s customers across healthcare, retail, banking, technology, and manufacturing to GDT’s client base and strengthens GDT’s global service delivery and scale. Kratos Capital acted as exclusive M&A advisor to MDS; the deal closed on September 24, 2024.
