Ember Infrastructure Takes H2O Innovation Private

Ember Infrastructure Management, with co-investors Investissement Québec (IQ), Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), Ontario Power Generation Inc. Pension Fund (OPG) and H2O Innovation management, acquired H2O Innovation for C$395 million (C$4.25 per share) in a take-private transaction. The transaction is intended to support H2O Innovation's growth strategy — including acquisition-driven expansion — while maintaining the company's Quebec headquarters and workforce of nearly 1,100 employees.

Newterra Acquires H2O Engineering, Inc.

The deal expands Newterra’s West Coast engineering, manufacturing and service capabilities and broadens its end-market reach into controlled-environment agriculture, light industrial, remediation and food & beverage sectors.

Madison Energy Infrastructure Acquires NextEra Energy Resources' Distributed Generation Platform

Madison Energy Infrastructure completed the acquisition of NextEra Energy Resources' distributed generation development platform, including operating solar and energy storage assets, a development pipeline and customers across 25 states. The deal brings Madison's ecosystem to nearly 1 GW of operating clean energy infrastructure and expands its commercial and community customer footprint while leveraging recent financing and support from EQT and other capital partners.

Nolan Capital Acquires Majority Stake in Water Engineering, Inc.

Nolan Capital, the family office of Peter Nolan, has acquired a majority stake in Water Engineering, Inc., a Omaha-based provider of industrial water treatment solutions, chemicals and services. Nolan Capital’s Southern California portfolio company, Apollo Technologies, will join the combined Water Engineering platform as the investor and management team intend to pursue further acquisitions to build a national water treatment platform.

Integrated Water Services and Sciens Water Acquire Hyperion International Technologies

Integrated Water Services, in partnership with Sciens Water Opportunities Management (an affiliate of Sciens Capital), acquired 100% of Hyperion International Technologies, a control-systems and engineering services provider for water and wastewater markets. The deal expands IWS’s product and digital services capabilities in modular MBR and wastewater reuse technologies; Hyperion’s General Manager Scott Johnson will lead the business as Al Ouchie transitions to retirement.

Water Engineering Acquires WET Solutions

Water Engineering, a portfolio company of Nolan Capital, has acquired WET Solutions, Inc., a Schaumburg, Illinois-based provider of water treatment equipment, chemicals, consultation, and preventative maintenance services. The transaction is an add-on to Water Engineering’s platform aimed at strengthening its presence in the greater Chicago area while retaining WET Solutions’ brand and owner involvement for continuity and growth.
