Thunderbird LLC Acquires MPR Plastics Inc.

Thunderbird LLC has acquired MPR Plastics Inc., a precision injection-molding and contract plastics manufacturer based in Elgin, Illinois. The deal adds MPR’s 38,000 sq ft facility, 23 injection molding machines and ~80 U.S. staff to Thunderbird’s manufacturing portfolio—complementing its high-volume capabilities at Impact Molding and expanding support for medical, aerospace, defense, transportation and high-tech OEMs.

Trelleborg Group Acquires Aero-Plastics Inc.

Trelleborg Group, through its Trelleborg Sealing Solutions business area, has signed an agreement to acquire Aero-Plastics Inc., a Renton, Washington-based manufacturer of precision injection-molded and thermoformed high-performance polymer components for the aerospace interiors market. The acquisition — expected to close in Q2 2025 — expands Trelleborg's thermoplastics and interiors capabilities, adds capacity and customer relationships, and is intended to generate sales synergies within its aerospace offering.

Phoenix Lighting Acquires Bright Light Systems

Phoenix Lighting, a portfolio company of JMC Capital Partners, has acquired Bright Light Systems, Inc., a Georgia-based lighting manufacturer and controls provider. The deal expands Phoenix's industrial lighting capabilities and adds a specialized lighting controls and monitoring platform to better serve ports, terminals and other heavy-industrial end markets.

Blue Ant Media Acquires Thunderbird Entertainment Group Inc.

Blue Ant Media Corporation completed its acquisition of Thunderbird Entertainment Group Inc. by plan of arrangement, acquiring all outstanding Thunderbird shares in exchange for 5,857,979 subordinate voting shares of Blue Ant and up to $40 million in cash. The deal gives Blue Ant 100% ownership of Thunderbird, includes leadership appointments (Jennifer Twiner McCarron to a Blue Ant Studios role), targets ~$7 million in synergies, and will result in Thunderbird’s delisting from the TSX Venture Exchange.

CELLTREAT Scientific Products Acquires Brewster Plastics

CELLTREAT Scientific Products has acquired Brewster Plastics, a U.S.-based precision injection molding manufacturer with a 72,000 sq. ft. facility in Patterson, New York. Operations will be consolidated with CELLTREAT's VistaLab Technologies subsidiary to expand domestic production capacity, improve delivery times, and boost manufacturing efficiency for lab consumables and plastics.

Techmer PM Acquires Colors for Plastics

The acquisition expands Techmer PM's product offerings and color technology capabilities, and brings Colors for Plastics' Elk Grove Village, Illinois and Spartanburg, South Carolina sites and employees into Techmer's organization.
