OceanSound Partners Makes Strategic Investment in RMA Group of Companies

An affiliate of OceanSound Partners has made a strategic (minority) investment in RMA Group of Companies, a California-based provider of technology-enabled laboratory testing, inspection, and quality management services. RMA's existing management team, led by President and CEO Ed Lyon, retains a significant ownership stake and will continue to lead the business as the partner supports organic growth and add-on acquisitions to expand capabilities and geographic reach.

RMA Companies Acquires Earth Engineers

RMA Companies, a portfolio company of OceanSound Partners, has acquired Earth Engineers, a Camas, Washington–based geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and special inspection firm. The add-on expands RMA's Pacific Northwest footprint (adding offices in Camas, Springfield and Aiea) and strengthens its geotechnical and materials testing capabilities as it builds a national testing, inspection and certification platform.

(dba CSI Services), a Santa Clarita, California-based specialty coating inspection firm. The deal is an add-on to RMA's platform following its merger with Western Technologies and expands RMA's test and inspection capabilities and geographic coverage across critical infrastructure end-markets.
