Hormel Foods Acquires Sadler's Smokehouse

Hormel Foods Corporation has agreed to acquire Texas-based Sadler's Smokehouse, a family-owned maker of premium pit-smoked meats. The asset sale will add Sadler's products and manufacturing operations in Henderson, Texas to Hormel's Refrigerated Foods segment, supporting expansion in foodservice and entry into retail and deli channels.

Williams Sausage employs about 500 team members and will have operational continuity with Emily Billingsley (founder's daughter) overseeing operations during the transition.
