Atar Capital Acquires WinCup from Funds Managed by BlackRock

Atar Capital has completed the acquisition of WinCup from funds managed by BlackRock, Inc. Headquartered in Georgia, WinCup operates eight manufacturing facilities and employs nearly 1,000 people producing traditional and biodegradable foodservice packaging (including its Phade and Vio brands). Atar appointed a new leadership team and said the acquisition expands its platform into sustainable foodservice packaging to support growth and capability expansion.

Foundation Investment Partners / Sustainable Packaging Acquires Paper Converters, Inc.

Foundation Investment Partners (FIP), via its platform Sustainable Packaging, LLC, has acquired Paper Converters, Inc., a Walterboro, South Carolina manufacturer of spiral wound paper tubes, edge board and sheeting. The acquisition is an add-on to FIP's Sustainable Packaging platform and is intended to drive collaboration with sister company Amspak, improve supply chain continuity, and expand capability in sustainable paper packaging for textile and industrial customers in the Southeastern U.S.

ProAmpac Acquires Specialty Packaging, Inc.

ProAmpac, a Cincinnati-based flexible packaging manufacturer owned by Pritzker Private Capital, has acquired Specialty Packaging, Inc., a family-owned paper, film and foil packaging manufacturer based in Fort Worth, Texas. The acquisition expands ProAmpac's paper bag converting capacity, broadens its recyclable foodservice packaging portfolio and extends its footprint into the southwestern United States.

PaperWorks Acquires The Standard Group

The deal adds ~120 employees and expands PaperWorks' integrated folding carton footprint and vertical integration across North America; PaperWorks is PE-backed (Gamut Capital Management).

ProMach Acquires Modern Packaging

ProMach has acquired Modern Packaging, a Deer Park, New York-based manufacturer of cup and tray filling, sealing and lid-converting equipment for the food and dairy industries. Modern (founded 1989, with over 100 employees) will join ProMach’s Filling Business Line, with its founders remaining in leadership roles as ProMach invests to grow Modern’s capabilities and global reach.

ACR (AmerCareRoyal) Acquires Mat-Pac, Inc.

ACR (AmerCareRoyal), a portfolio company of HCI Equity Partners, has acquired Mat-Pac, Inc., a supplier of paper, plastic, aluminum and sustainable packaging solutions for the North American foodservice and janitorial/sanitation markets. The add-on strengthens ACR's product portfolio, expands its reach across foodservice and JanSan end markets, and retains the Mat-Pac leadership (the Jimenez family) in an ongoing role.
